Is stretching and yoga enough?
Is it enough for getting rid of tightness and achiness? I don’t think so, at least in my body it’s not.
- I do a combination of things to help my body feel great. I of course do yoga and stretch several times a week, almost every day I do something. Sometimes it’s 10 mins of gentle movements and it’s all lying down and other days its lots of sun salutations and strength. Basically I let my body guide me based on how I feel in the moment. If I don’t feel great and low energy, I just do some very gentle things and the days I’m bursting with energy I kick it up. I use a foam roller for my legs and I do this once or twice a week, it’s great for the quadriceps and it bands as well as inner thighs. I use a combination of different size balls with different density’s to self-massage a few times a week. The balls can be used for neck and shoulders, back, arms, legs, pretty much everywhere. I let my body guide me on when, how long, and which things to do. Generally these 3 things do the trick for really keeping my body feeling great and allow me to do the active things I want to do with my body. I have a few other things up my sleeve, but a girl has to keep some secrets.
